About Us
Peak Dental Lab was founded by Dr Vagan Tapaltsyan in 2022 with the goal of providing the ultimate quality of guided surgery and full arch prosthetics in the industry. The only doctor-lead dental lab in the US, Peak Dental Lab stands unique in that every implant case is designed by an experienced implant surgeon with a prosthetically-driven outlook and anatomic and clinical considerations beyond any technician’s experience.
We utilize the latest in 3-D surgical planning and monolithic full arch restorative technology, including coDiagnostix, 3Shape Design, and Exocad Design Services, as well as an array of 3-D printers and mills.

Dr. Vagan Tapaltsyan, DDS, PhD
Dr Vagan Tapaltsyan received both is DDS and PhD in Craniofacial Sciences from UCSF School of Dentistry and completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard. In addition to training doctors in dental implantology and supporting many offices though Peak Dental Lab, Dr Tapaltsyan maintains a busy reconstructive and implant practice with locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Having performed thousands of implant surgeries and hundreds of full arch AOX cases, he has developed a proprietary fully digital workflow that significantly improves case predictability and cuts down on surgical and follow up appointment times. He first founded Peak Dental Lab to provide support for his own practices, but word of his workflow and high quality of prosthetic designs had quickly spread, and he expanded operations to support offices throughout California and beyond.
An expert in the field of implant dentistry, Dr Tapaltsyan serves as a consultant and implant training faculty for UCSF (having formerly held the title of Assistant Professor and Director of Evidence-Based Dentistry curriculum), California Northstate College of Dental Medicine, and Straumann. Dr Tapaltsyan has authored numerous papers and book chapters on topics of intraoral scanning efficiency, full arch fixed prosthetics, implant design, and regenerative biology. For his research, Dr Tapaltsyan has been honored with the Ruth L Kurshctein National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as awards from the American Association of Oral Biologists, the Society of Craniofacial Generics and Developmental Biology, and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Franz Wall, MBA
Director of Development
Franz J. Wall brings a diverse and comprehensive background to his role as Director of Development, blending extensive experience in both clinical and administrative capacities. He has served as a consultant for the California Dental Association in student programs, where he has successfully organized and structured development initiatives to facilitate students’ transition from academia to their professional careers. His academic achievements are noteworthy, having achieved first in his class from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, earning an MBA from Western Governors University, and having the insight from working for several years as an Oral Health Care Technician and Dental Assistant, Franz excels in delivering high-quality patient care. With a unique blend of clinical expertise, administrative acumen, and a proven track record of leadership, Franz is uniquely positioned in providing support for our clients needs in top-of-the-line implant design and smile restoration services.
